With only 3 contestants remaining in the competition, American Idol judge and lesbian Ellen DeGeneres chose the song "Maybe I'm Amazed" for the only remaining female contestant Crystal Bowersox. The Paul McCartney hit, a love song written to his late wife Linda, contains the line "I'm a man" in the chorus.
