Senior Analyst

Peter LaBarbera, senior policy analyst for the Culture and Family Institute (CFI), an affiliate of Concerned Women for America (CWA), is a leading expert on homosexual activism, politics and Political Correctness. Mr. LaBarbera brings years of experience as a publisher, writer and speaker to the newly formed Institute.

Culture and Policy Analyst:
Before coming to CFI, Mr. LaBarbera served as a Senior Analyst in the Cultural Studies Department of the Family Research Council, where he edited the weekly publication "Culture Facts." He is the founder of Americans for Truth, a group dedicated to countering powerful homosexual pressure groups. Mr. LaBarbera is also the former executive director of Accuracy in Academia (AIA), an organization that monitors Political Correctness on college campuses. In addition to his work at AIA, he wrote Accuracy in Media, a sister organization to AIA, which exposes liberal media bias.

Writer/Editor/Publisher:
Mr. LaBarbera is the former publisher of the Lambda Report on Homosexual Activism, a bimonthly newsletter that monitored the "gay" movement using homosexual sources. He worked as a reporter for The Washington Times newspaper, covering congressional policy toward Central America. In 1990, Mr. LaBarbera traveled to Central America for several months to report on the democratic election that resulted in the defeat of the communist Sandinista regime. Following that experience, he returned to Washington, D.C., and later came to work for Concerned Women for America, where he edited the monthly magazine Family Voice.

Mr. LaBarbera has appeared on CNN's Larry King Live, FOX's Hannity and Colmes and The Edge with Paula Zahn, CBS Radio, USA Radio News, Point of View with Marlin Maddoux, and American Family Association Radio. He is frequently quoted as an expert on homosexual and gender issues by Focus on the Family's "Family News in Focus" and numerous other television and radio shows.
